WiP Wednesday: Some Sewing For Myself

This past week I have been doing some sewing just for myself. And boy does it feel good to get some of this projects that I have been floating around in my head started. First, I finally am in the final piecing stages of this queen size quilt for our bed! Of course I ran out of thread on Monday and my order isn't coming in until Wednesday. But at least I got quite a few of the rows and sashing sewn together. Now to just plow through the rest, thinking this will be a nice project to work on in the evenings over the 4th of July weekend. This week I also cut out a few grocery totes from Michelle Patterns . I LOVE this pattern, I need a bunch more since it is Farmer's Market season and I HATE using plastic bags! Once I have these sewn together I will now have a small collection in all 3 sizes! Happy Sewing! Linking up with Lee from Freshly Pieced for WiP Wednesday!

June Favorites

No more baby gates! Nora has mastered going up and down stairs without assistance. Plus she learned how to open the gate, so Derek and I figured it was time for them to come down. And no more highchair! Nora wanted to sit in the chairs just like mom and dad. Now we have a booster and she is much happier. Gardening. We have a small deck garden and I love looking out and seeing our plants grow. Biking. As a one car family, I'm car free during the day, so that means I either walk or bike everywhere. And biking has been great conditioning for my sore shins and knee. Having Nora help me feed our dog Berrie. I scoop out the food, she carries the cup to Berrie's bowl then pours it into her bowl. Sometimes Nora misses the bowl, but Berrie is really good about cleaning up! Camping! It was so much fun getting together with Derek's family and camp out for the weekend. And we have discovered that Nora loves the water!
