- No more baby gates! Nora has mastered going up and down stairs without assistance. Plus she learned how to open the gate, so Derek and I figured it was time for them to come down.
- And no more highchair! Nora wanted to sit in the chairs just like mom and dad. Now we have a booster and she is much happier.
- Gardening. We have a small deck garden and I love looking out and seeing our plants grow.
- Biking. As a one car family, I'm car free during the day, so that means I either walk or bike everywhere. And biking has been great conditioning for my sore shins and knee.
- Having Nora help me feed our dog Berrie. I scoop out the food, she carries the cup to Berrie's bowl then pours it into her bowl. Sometimes Nora misses the bowl, but Berrie is really good about cleaning up!
- Camping! It was so much fun getting together with Derek's family and camp out for the weekend. And we have discovered that Nora loves the water!
Benita of Victoriana Quilt Designs approached me if I wanted to participate in a Quilter's Meet and Greet. And since both kiddos are in school this year, I actually have a little more time to actually blog, so I figured this was a great time to join the fun.
So here is a little more about me, my quilting journey, and life in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan!
Hi! I'm Jess Pugh and I grew up in Ludington, Michigan, famous for the Lake Michigan Carferry the S.S. Badger. Went to Michigan State University for my undergrad in botany and later my Master's at University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee for my MLIS.
I was set up with my husband on a blind date, and were married 6 months later. In January 2020 we will be celebrating 12 years of marriage! This by far was one of the craziest things I've done!
I have two girls, Nora and Enna. Nora is a 1st grader this year and Enna started preschool. Plus we also have our 10 year old black lab, Berrie.
I started sewing as a way to help heal…
