two posts in one week, oh my! Happy Halloween! time to bust out my Christmas projects! last year i finished up a Christmas quilt right before the holiday. well this year i am going to add to my quilty Christmas decor! i had this adorable charm pack in my stash from Sweetwater fabrics and just knew it was destined for new cushion covers. from my pack i can make 3 covers! this first one i combined the charm pack with a little Essex Yarn Dyed Linen in Black from Robert Kaufman and just love it. i have another one ready to go, that will be paired with a red chambray leftover from some shorts i made this summer. i haven't decided what i will use for the background for the last pillow, but i'm leaning toward some type of green linen. have to love some improvising when making. i added the border since my cover would have been too small otherwise. but now that it is all stitched together i love how it looks. love when a minor problem actually makes the finally product better!

hello there, it has been awhile. since our move to the UP of Michigan i can tell my sewing during the summer certainly takes a hit. since i want to spend time outside with family and friends. but there has been some sewing going on, you can see that on Instagram , it just doesn't make it here very often. but as i was going through my finished quilts of the year, i decided my Halloween Granny Square quilt needed to be highlighted. this is one of my favorite quilts to date and it is my 139th quilt that i have made since i started quilting in 2013. this past June i was the Queen for my bee group the Triple Block Bee and picked the Granny Square quilt block made in Halloween colors. last year i promised my girls that i would make a Halloween quilt once we moved, well thank goodness for my bee mates, since i don't think i could have pulled it off without them! i love all of the fun fabrics that are included in this quilt. plus it is just so bright, which as been nice fo
