Triangle Rainbow Spectrum Mini Quilt | A Finished Quilt

Another quilt finish, oh my! Right before my family and I moved to the UP, a few of my quilty friends started a little swap group. We made a mini with our theme for that swap. Then we would get together for dinner and swap mini's. So I have continued to swap with them and traveling down to visit and swap, minus a few weather hiccups. Well this round we went virtual due to COVID-19, but still had an enjoyable time. And bonus for me I didn't have to travel. So this round was rainbow themed. Between putting our house of the market and our upcoming move, I was at a lose as to what I wanted to make. Lately I've been playing around with different angles and I love triangles, so why not a rainbow triangle mini. I used 2 inch equilateral triangles cut from my stash. I played around with the layout quite a bit it get it just right. Once it was stitched together, I added the the low volume white as a border. Let's Catch Up | A Couple of Rainbow Quilts

2020 has been one hell of a year! I am trying to make my way back to this space, but I know it will be hit or miss as we get ready to move in a couple of weeks! During my time away I spend a lot of it helping my kiddo with school and stitching up a bunch of new quilts. I still can't believe it has been 2.5 years since we moved to the Upper Peninsula. Now we are moving again, staying in the U.P, just moving closer to my job working at a quilt shop. So of course my oldest daughter wanted to give her two friends quilts before we move, so that meant I needed to get quilting. This first quilt was made with my 2.5 inch square stash. I originally sewed 16-patch blocks, but wanted more of a punch, so I sewed 4, 16-patch blocks together to make one large block. Since I wanted to create a rainbow spectrum, I added the sashing and finished with a border. I love how this one turned out and Nora's friend loved it.
