Working on the Archives

For the last few weeks I have been working on updating my Quilt Gallery. It has been wildly out of date, with my last photos being added in 2020. So I have been working on adding all of my quilts from 2021 - present. My Quilt Gallery is located on the right sidebar. It has been fun to go back and see some of the quilts that I have worked on and how my skills have improved over the years.

It is fun to watch my skills grow, trying new quilts that I didn't think I would be sewing when I first started. Or making bags that I would have sworn I couldn't make. I can see my confidence increase over the years and really shows that sewing/quilting is a journey and new skills can always be learned.

What we enjoy sewing ebbs and flows and by looking at my old projects I can see those shifts. Plus what type of projects and for me the amount always clues me into my mental state at the time. Between sewing, anxiety/depression medication, and a change in jobs has helped with my mental health greatly. For the first time in a few years, I feel so much lightly and it has felt great to truly be happy again.

With those ebbs and flows, I'm trying my best to work through projects that I wanted to sew but do to my depression I just couldn't get there. Well I'm starting to get there and can't wait to see what the next few months brings, hopefully some more finished projects!

So I hope you will join me on my journey and that I can inspire you along the way.
