Christmas Table Set | Finished Projects

Time for more catching up to do! I enjoy blogging, but it is something that I'm not doing as much. Especially right now, I am just not finishing a lot of projects due to moving, starting work again, homeschooling, and just feeling like I'm overloaded.

I picked up a half yard bundle of this Kringle and Claus fabric from Basic Grey from work. I just knew it would be nice to make some projects to dress up my table for Christmas time!

First I finished this Lil' Diana table runner pattern from GE Designs. It uses a pack of charm squares or you could use your scraps. I had this cut out in one evening and stitched up the next day! I used stitch #1397 on my Bernina 790 Special Edition, my favorite serpentine stitch. Really one of my favorite for quick quilting.

Next I made up some patchwork placemats using this tutorial from SOTAK Handmade. I love this design for a placemat and will most defiantly making more in the coming months. This work perfectly with little kiddos, especially with using a darker fabric in the center to help conceal stains.

Finally I made a One Hour Basket. I use this to hold all of our cloth napkins. This is another great way to make your table a bit more festive for the season or holiday that is near. I think a Valentine's basket is in my near future!

I still have plenty of fabric left from my bundle and think I'm going to make a quick and easy Christmas quilt for next year, hopefully!

Did you make any home decor projects for you home for Christmas?

Happy Sewing!

  1. What cute fabric, and I love the bin! This year I didn't do any Christmas projects for my house, which is a bit unusual compared to other years. I did make more gifts (last minute) this year than others, thuogh!
