A year after I finished putting this top together, I finally got around to quilting it up! This quilt was created with my 2017 Triple Block Bee group. Well needless to say my family and I saw plenty of changes toward the end of 2017 with moving and all.
This block is perfect for using large scraps. I asked my bee group to create three blocks in any three colors.
I just love a good rainbow quilt and my bee group came through with some gorgeous color blocks. For the quilting I kept it simple. I started with quilting every 2 inches, then went back and randomly filled in the areas between those quilting lines. Since I ran out of my original thread color, when I added additional quilting I changed up the thread color.
By the skin of my teeth, I finished my second project off my 2019 FAL list!
