Quilt the Book : Unconditional

over the summer i finished my fourth Quilt the Book series! i am using the book Quilts Made with Love by Rachel Griffith, this pattern is called Unconditional. since we had a wedding for my husband's best man this past summer i knew i was going to make a quilt and this was the perfect fit.

this quilt was another stash buster. all of the fabric minus the background came from my stash. i love when i can create a quilt from my stash.

and since i finished this one right before gifting, i only have the one picture. this was a fun challenge for me to finish this before my deadline.

i love HST, but after sewing and trimming 300 of them, i was less than thrilled. i love that they are so versatile, but man they can take some time to create. that is something i plan on working on this coming year, just to enjoy the process and take it one step at a time.

this was just a fun project quilt to work on and i hope the happy couple love it for years to come.

Quilt Stats:
Pattern: Unconditional from Quilts Made with Love
Dimensions: 72 inches x 72 inches
Quilting: Straight line crosshatch
Fabric: various fabrics from my stash

  1. That is such a beautiful quilt! I love your use of rainbow colors against the negative space, and the pop of black works great here!

  2. What a cool design! Those colors really pop against that white background. I'm sure this quilt will be loved and used for many years to come.

  3. What book are you quilting through? I love HST's also but I wonder how it would be for me to trim through 300+ of them. There are so many methods available to do them, I will give several methods a try on my next HST project to see which suits me best.
