WiP Wednesday: Christmas gift edition

I have been busy piecing together quilts for Christmas. Working on Christmas gifts already since I want to try and give handmade gifts as much as possible this year. I plan on making each of my nieces and nephews a throw quilt, so that's 6 quilts right there. As of today I have one quilt finished, one pieced and ready for basting, and 4 ready to be cut out.

My first Christmas gift finished! This quilt is for my oldest niece and finishes at 60 inches square.

Lazy Girl Quilt (Pattern: Lazy Daisy by In Color Order)

This is my current wip. I love how the top came out. Plus the piecing is a breeze, just random blocks together. My kinda of quilt! Now all I need to do is bast this one and start quilting!

Happy Sewing!

  1. So ambitious. That will be so fun come Christmastime - giving these to each niece and nephew. Very thoughtful and they will treasure their quilt.

    1. Thank you! I agree this layout would work great for an I-Spy quilt, great idea. I may just have to add that to my list of quilts to make.

  3. One year, like the first year I started quilting I made all 8 of my grandchildren and my 4 children patchwork quilts for Christmas. It's probably past time for me to make them all another one.....especially now that I know how to do more than just patchwork.
